Who runs the National Finance Economics Collective?

The National Finance Economics Collective is an organization of high school students dedicated to providing finance and economics education to middle school and junior high students across the United States, with a particular focus on students from historically marginalized communities.

Was NFEC previously GDFEC?

Yes, NFEC was previously named GDFEC. As we have expanded our nonprofit operations to metroplex areas outside of DFW, our name has changed to reflect such expansion. NFEC still remains true to GDFEC's founding mission and standards, but on a national level.

Who can attend workshops?

Our workshops are primarily aimed at K-12 students, but all are welcome to attend and learn more about finance and economics.

How much do these workshops cost?

Our workshops are free of charge. We believe that everyone should have access to comprehensive finance and economics education.

What qualifications do your instructors have?

Our instructors are high school students who have a strong grasp of finance and economics. They have been successful in national finance and economics competitions, and are passionate about teaching. They have undergone training to deliver the course content effectively.

What is the format of your workshops?

Our primary workshops last for 1-2 hours and provide an intensive overview of each subject. They include lectures, slide deck presentations, and hands-on activities. Our in-depth courses are virtual and last approximately 6 hours.
